Levee board to assess damage from flooded Ouachita
by Michael DeVault - posted E-mail Story E-mail Story | Print Story Print Story
Falling water levels in the Ouachita River is good news to Harris Brown, chairman of the board of the Tensas Basin Levee District.

According to Brown, the receding waters could exacerbate already unstable portions of the bank along the Ouachita. So far, though, no major issues have been reported.

"Any river is going to carry a certain amount of sediment," said Brown. "What we're hopeful for is that any of our caving banks don't experience any sloughing."
