School board honors Shows

West Monroe head football coach Don Shows still heads to work with the same passion and excitement he brought to the Rebel program 20 years ago.

If there's one thing he'll never tire of, it's being involved with the students who continue to impress him every year. He said almost each year there are about six football players who score a 30 or higher on the ACT test while many players score in the high 20s.

"That just does not happen everywhere," Shows said. "That's one of the reasons why we win. We don't out-dumb our opponents, and that's very easy to do this day and time."
