Annual Christmas food drive under way
posted E-mail Story E-mail Story | Print Story Print Story
The Spirit of Christmas Cheer Food Drive kicks off this Friday, November 9th through Friday, December 4th.

In an effort to help the Food Bank of Northeast Louisiana provide even more food for those in need this holiday season, KTVE-KARD is joining forces with Brookshire's, Super One Foods, Pepsi, Frito Lay and Taco Bell. Those who would like to donate to the food drive are invited to bring non-perishable food items to any Brookshire's, Super 1 Foods and Taco Bell Restaurant in Monroe & West Monroe. No breakable containers, homemade items or water, please.

For your convenience, food grab bags will be on sale and can be dropped off in the donation bins inside each store. Donation coupons will also be available.

For those northeast Louisiana schools that would like to participate, please call toll free at 1-888-937-3776. All food collected will be picked up by Pepsi and Frito Lay and delivered to the Food Bank for distribution to 12 parishes of northeast Louisiana.

With more than 70,000 people living at or below the poverty level in northeast Louisiana, your support of the Spirit of Christmas Cheer Food Drive is greatly needed and appreciated.
