Weekly devotional and church listings: Nov. 12, 2009 By ANDY GRANT Andygrant1946@yahoo.com
In the light of recent events, there are many conservative Christians concerned in which direction our country will now go. The unknown is one of the greatest fears that mankind can have.
Remember God's man Job. The Lord allowed Satan to strip Job of all his early possessions and wealth, destroy his family, and answer his friends and wife that wanted him to curse God and die.
Job was God's man. He would not deny God and resisted all temptation that Satan could throw at him. For the full column, suggested daily Bible readings, a prayer and a list of Ouachita Parish houses of worship, see Page 9A of this week's Citizen.
Subscribe to The Ouachita Citizen, your locally owned newspaper since 1924, by calling (318) 322-3161, ext 201. A one-year subscription costs a low $25 for Ouachita Parish addresses. We honor senior citizens with a discounted $20 per year rate for parish delivery. |
