ULM faces daunting defensive test at North Texas
The University of Louisiana at Monroe Warhawks (4-4, 3-1 Sun Belt Conference) will hit the road again Saturday with a trip to Denton, Tex. as they play the North Texas Mean Green (2-6, 1-4).
ULM is coming off a very disappointing 41-21 loss at league leader Troy in which the team trailed just 21-14 at halftime, but self imploded with two interceptions on offense and poor tackling on defense dooming the Warhawks late in the game.
North Texas, meanwhile, blasted Western Kentucky 69-48 in a pure shootout.
Redshirt freshman quarterback Riley Dodge, son of head coach Todd Dodge, threw for 262 yards and four touchdowns with no interceptions in the win.
