Triangle Park committee hopes for improvements
Triangle Park on Pargoud Boulevard in Monroe could be in line for a facelift if residents raise enough money for the project.
The Triangle Park Committee has met for more than a year to review how the park could be enhanced. The group recently presented the Monroe City Council with a list of those improvements.
"We have a beautiful park, but unfortunately, it's become somewhat of an eyesore," said French Smith, a Triangle Park committee member. "It was not like that when I was a child, so it's taken some community members to take some initiative to update the park."
The committee wants to provide more walking paths and additional entranceways to the park as well as tackle cosmetic enhancements.
