Weekly devotional and church listings: Nov. 5, 2009

"A man that never quits is never defeated." This is a statement I heard recently during a political speech and it has so much truth in it.
As we look back over our lifespan and realize that all of our failures are probably times when we lost our hope and gave up on what we were doing. We may become discouraged because our faith in ourself and in our God was not at the point it should be.
Mankind puts his hope into so many different things and objects and sometimes forgets that the only hope we need comes from our God above.
