Sheriff Royce Toney and the Ouachita Parish Sheriff's Office are holding a food drive through Nov. 20, to support the Food Pantry of the Ouachita Council on Aging.

OPSO will be collecting non-perishable, nutritious food items at the Ouachita Parish Courthouse Annex Building located at 400 St. John St., Monroe.

Among the preferred food items are: Canned tuna, salmon, chicken; canned fruits in own juices; 100 percent fruit juices (all sizes including juice boxes); grains (pasta, rice, macaroni, oatmeal and grits); canned vegetables; canned soups, chili, stew; and multigrain cereals.
Deputies will collect the food and deliver the items to the Ouachita Council on Aging on Nov. 20.
