Pumpkin bash from 2-4 p.m. Saturday

The Ouachita Parish Public Library will host the 31st annual Pumpkin Bash from 2-4 p.m. Saturday, Oct. 31, at the main branch, 327-1490, ext. 3041.

Entries for the vegetable decorating contest should be received by 2:30 p.m. with awards at 3:30 p.m. Trophies will be given out for first, second and third places.

A costume contest will be held, with judging for toddler through kindergarten at 2:30 p.m.; first to third grades at 2:45 p.m.; and fourth to sixth grades at 3 p.m.

Trophies for first, second and third places will be awarded for each age division.

The library is located on the corner of Stubbs Avenue and 18th Street in Monroe.
