The defense of the Gators was just as ferocious as they surrendered just a single goal to the back of the net during the duration of the event.

The team, coached by Won Lee and Bruce Deaton has been on a tear during this soccer season and will also have future endeavors that could potentially bring back more golden hardware.

The team of local athletes includes: Nikita Mallepalli, Victoria Pederson, Danielle Prescott, Emily Davison, Hannah Baker, Stori Kramel and Assistant Coach/Trainer Bruce Deaton, Caycee Shaw, Anna Lee, Savannah Reno, Kalie Smith and Brooke Breard.

The squad is one of two NELSA teams that Deaton will be leading into regional soccer tournaments this fall.

Deaton, the head soccer coach at Ouachita Christian School, also oversees the developement of a U18 and a U17 club playing out of the NELSA facilities that has given hundreds of local youth the opportunity to kick their way to better fitness of the body and mind in recent years. The U12 division Gators will next take to the soccer field this Saturday when they compete in the Sweep The Swamp Tournament being played in Alexandria.

The team also has registered to compete in the Cabosa Cup tournament to be held in Shreveport October 17-18.
