The Bastrop Choraliers will recognize the 80th anniversary of The Great Depression on Saturday, Oct. 10, at St. John Missionary Baptist Church, 1407 West Madison, Bastrop.

Exhibit viewing of "The Celebration of the Spiritual and Music of The Great Depression with Exhibit," opens at 5 p.m. and will continue with a concert and reception.

Participating choirs include New Dimensions Choral Society, directed by Bobby Wiggins; New Dimensions Youth Choral directed by Julie B. Lester; Interdenominational Ensemble, with Louis Nabors, director at ULM; and Bastrop Choraliers, with Grace Reese, director. Vocalists include Mateo Lopez, a junior vocal student and Natorshau Davis of Shreveport.

Admission is free with contributions welcome.
