Aviation museum to host Reitzell

Retired Army Ranger Col. John Reitzell will be a guest speaker 6 p.m. Tuesday, Oct. 13 at the Chennault Aviation and Military Museum.

Reitzell was a master parachutist with more than 500 jumps. He also possesses the Combat Infantryman's Badge, two Legions of Merit, four Bronze Stars with" V "for Valor, the Purple Heart and four Air Medals.

He was deployed on more than 35 operations in support of the United State's counter-terrorism program. These included responses to the invasion of Grenada, the hijack of TWA 847 to Beirut, the insurgencies in El Salvador and Nicaragua, and the seizing of the Italian cruise liner Achille Lauro.
