Hickory Springs Church annual Homecoming will be held Sunday, Oct. 4.

This is the one day a year that services are held at this historic site located about ½ mile from the Caldwell Parish line and about 20 miles west of Columbia.

Hickory Springs Methodist Church was founded in 1845 by pioneer settlers of the "Piney Woods" of Jackson and Caldwell Parishes. The original building, constructed of logs, served as both school and church.

The current building was constructed around 1902 and is maintained by donations and the work of a handful of local people. Join us about 10:30 a.m. for old fashioned gospel singing, bring your covered dish lunch.
