Komen grants this weekend The Northeast Louisiana Chapter of Susan G. Komen for the Cure announces the availability of fund for the 2009-2010 grant cycle.
Applications are due by 5 p.m. Sept. 21.
Applicants should be community based breast cancer and breast health programs from nonprofit organizations, government al agencies and educational institutions within the chapter's service area.
Komen Northeast Louisiana serves 12 parishes, including Ouachita, Caldwell, East Carroll, Franklin, Jackson, Lincoln, Madison, Morehouse, Richland, Tensas, Union and West Carroll. In 2008, Komen Northeast Louisiana funded more than $252,000 to local community programs.
