Free seminar planned for first-time homebuyers Keller-Williams Realty, Bulldog Title and Assurance Mortgage will present a free seminar for first-time homebuyers from 6-7:30 p.m. Tuesday, Sept. 8, at the main branch of the Ouachita Parish Public Library.
Attendees will learn about the home buying process; how to take advantage of the $8,000 first-time homebuyer tax credit (ending Nov. 30); what loans are available and how to qualify for a loan; how to prepare for home ownership; how a real estate agent can assist you with your search for a home; and information about escrow and the closing process.
Attendees will receive the book, "Your First Home," a $16.95 value. Seating is limited and reservations are required.
