• Mrs. Rose Brossett Miles celebrated her 99th birthday at a "Queen for the Day" party on Aug. 15, in West Monroe.

• Terry and Thelma Massey of West Monroe will celebrate their 50th wedding anniversary on
Saturday, Aug. 29 with a reception at Peniel Baptist Church in West Monroe. Their children will host.

• Lifelong West Monroe resident Mrs. Althea B. Dayton was honored with a reception to celebrate her 80th birthday.
