This week in The Ouachita Citizen WM teen cited for hunting violations Louisiana Department of Wildlife and Fisheries Enforcement Division agents cited two Ouachita Parish men and a woman on July 30 for alleged multiple hunting violations in Jackson Parish.
Ricky J. George, 21, Haleigh A. Malone, 19, both of Eros, and Cody J. Hare, 17, of West Monroe, were cited after agents responded to an illegal night hunting complaint called into the Jackson Parish Sheriff's Office.

Group of local pastors hope to mobilize men More than 70 local pastors have joined together to lead a men's movement in Ouachita Parish.
Their goal is spiritual, social and economic transformation for all of Ouachita Parish.

First Baptist, foundation team up to provide counseling at schools Three Ouachita Parish schools will have a new counseling service provided by First West Counseling Center and funded through Living Well Foundation.
The foundation, along with Ouachita Parish Schools' officials and representatives from First Baptist Church of West Monroe, unveiled the new program Tuesday.
The program is called Project HELP, which stands for "Helping, Education, Life Skills and Parenting."
