Mulhearn elected to LFDA board
Members of the Louisiana Funeral Directors Association recently honored The Mulhearn Family at the association's annual conference in New Orleans.
Surrounded by members of his family, Peter G. "Butch" Mulhearn was elected to serve as vice president of the LFDA.
"I'm honored to have been elected by my colleagues across Louisiana, and I look forward to serving the association through the coming year," Mulhearn said.
As vice president, Mulhearn will work to promote increased professionalism within the association.
This isn't the first time the Mulhearn Family has had one of its own elected to the LFDA's governing body. Butch's great grandfather, P.S. Mulhearn; grandfather, Thomas H. Mulhearn Sr.; uncle, Joseph E. Mulhearn; his cousin, T.M. "Mike" Mulhearn Sr. have all served in the organization.
Adding to the accolades, Mulhearn Funeral Homes also received the LFDA Certificate of Excellence Award for 2008-2009. This is the 18th consecutive year the Mulhearns have received this award, being cited for superior standards, community involvement, and professional accomplishment.
"We have a strong heritage in this industry and in our community" said Mike Mulhearn. "For six generations we have served the families of Northeast Louisiana with care and compassion. We will continue to do so for many years to come".
