Cross the Line Tour announces matches Total Nonstop Action wrestling has announced the line-up for its July 24 show at the Monroe Civic Center.
The show will begin at 7:30 p.m. and tickets are still available at the Monroe Civic Center box office.
Ticket prices range from $20 in the upper deck, $35 lower level and $50 for ringside seats.
Special family pricing will also be available with $31 ringside seats and $16 upper deck seats available when someone purchases four or more seats together.
One of the key matches already announced for the show will feature the 6'8" behemoth known as Abyss taking on wrestling legend Scott Steiner.
Abyss is a former World Heavyweight Champion after a short reign 2006. He also once held the World tag team championship in TNA with A.J. Styles.
Steiner is known the world over after a professional wrestling career that has spanned 22 years. Steiner is best known for being tag-team partners with his brother Rick in the acclaimed team known as the Steiner Brothers.
The Steiners put together 14 world tag-team championship reigns across four different promotions and were the industry's tag team of the year twice.
Steiner has won two World Championship Wrestling television titles and a world heavyweight championship in 2001 during a successful singles career that continues today.
Two of the national scenes best up-and-coming young tag teams will do battle inside the six-sided ring in Monroe as well.
The current TNA tag team champions, Beer Money will defend their title against The British Invasion — Doug Williams and Brutus Magnus. The pair debuted in TNA on the April 30 television episode of TNA Impact! on Spike TV.
The main event of the evening will feature two outstanding wrestlers currently in contention for the world heavyweight title that is held by former Olympic Gold Medalist Kurt Angle.
Samoa Joe, Angle's current on-screen best friend, will battle A.J. Styles in Monroe.
Joe is a two-time former world heavyweight champion and X-division champion. Styles has also had a couple of world heavyweight titles and is currently the reigning Legends Champion which he won from Booker T after Booker T created the title four months earlier.
Eric Young and Daniels as well as the Motor City Machine Guns are other stars that expected to appear but have not officially been assigned a match for the show as of press time. |
