College touts local students Monroe student John Franklin Green graduated magna cum laude from Mississippi College during spring commencement in May. President Lee Royce conferred degrees upon 650 undergraduate, graduate, and law students in five separate ceremonies.
The school also announced students who garnered academic honors.
To be eligible for the President's List, a student must maintain a 4.0 or "straight A's," based on a 4.0 system. Making the President's List are Monroe students Lindsay Thiels and Caleb Stewart Bedillion.
To be eligible for the Dean's List, a student must maintain a 3.5 or better grade point average.
Making the Dean's List from Monroe are John Franklin Green, Lauren Sylvester and and Erin Tyler.
Mississippi College is a private, co-educational, Christian university of liberal arts and sciences serving nearly 4,900 students from 41 states and 26 countries.
Founded in 1826, Mississippi College is the oldest institution of higher learning in the state of Mississippi and second oldest Baptist university in the nation. |
