Little Miss Rodeo, Miss Rodeo Pageant to be held this week

The Little Miss Rodeo Princess and Miss Rodeo Princess Pageant will be held at 5:30 p.m. Thursday, July 9, at the Monroe Convention Center Bayou Room. The event is free and the public is invited.

A total of 10 entrants from various community recreation centers will display their talent, best "western wear" and answer interview questions to vie for the crowns. Winners will be featured in the 9th Annual Bayou Black Open Rodeo Parade and Main Event Grand Entrance on Saturday, Aug. 22, at the Monroe Civic Center Arena.

Karmen Rubin (Miss ULM , 1st runner up), Jessica Smith (Neville High School choreographer & sponsor), and Seletta McClinton (Instructor, Seletta's LaDance) will serve as judges for the Little Miss Rodeo Princess (ages 4-7) and Miss Rodeo Princess (ages 8-13) pageants.
