Vollunteers needed in Sterlington
posted E-mail Story E-mail Story | Print Story Print Story
The D.E.L.T.A. (Disciples Exhibiting Love Through Action) program is an organization in the Sterlington community that is dedicated to helping seniors on limited income with repairs to their homes.

The group is seeking volunteers for three current projects:

— Make handicap accessibility modifications to the restroom of an elderly person.

— Replace the skirting around the bottom of the house of a senior; the skirting was lost during a storm.

— Build a handicap ramp for an elderly woman who is currently unable to leave her home because she cannot get back up the stairs.

Skilled labor is needed as well as helpers to clean up after the project is complete. For more information, contact Caesar Velasquez at 665-5403 or cvelasquez@dow.com.
