Jindal, Whitworth to speak to Rotary Club
The Rotary Club of Monroe will host Gov. Bobby Jindal, at 11:30 a.m. Thursday, July 9, at the Monroe Civic Center Convention Hall.
Jindal will address an expected 300 Rotarians and guests on the current state of Louisiana as well as present an outlook of the new fiscal year.
Cincinnati Bengals offensive lineman Andrew Whitworth will also be in attendance to speak about Big Whit's Weekend, an event benefitting Whitworth's Big Whit 77 Foundation.
The program is $11 per ticket and includes a catered meal. The event is invitation-only for non-Rotarians.
