Local Ag agent garners state honor
A team of nine LSU AgCenter educators recently won top honors for their home-buyer education program at the Louisiana Extension Association of Family and Consumer Sciences annual meeting.
The group was honored for outstanding programming that reaches out to communities and special-needs families. Their program, "Charting Your Course to Home Ownership," uses multimedia presentations to guide participants through choosing, negotiating and obtaining the best home and mortgage.
Cynthia Stephens of Ouachita Parish was among the nine people included on the team. |
