CCS players make team
posted E-mail Story E-mail Story | Print Story Print Story
The Claiborne Christian Crusaders won their second consecutive Class C baseball state championship last month.

Now they have put a lasting mark on the 2009 LHSAA Class C All-State team with five different selections on the team and Coach of the Year Chad Olinde.

Junior pitcher Jake Bell was named this year's Class C Player of the Year after throwing CCS to consecutive state tournament wins and another state crown in 2009.

The top hitter on the Claiborne Christian squad was Forrest Spillers this year and he along with fellow CCS infielders Jesse Butler and Taylor Moore also made the all-state squad

Center fielder Kip Robinson, who picked up several memorable hits in the playoff run for CCS, was one of just five outfielders in the entire state to make this year's team.
