Dorothy P. Brownlee Dorothy P. Brownlee was born June 26, 1926, and died on May 10, 2009. She was preceded in death by her husband, Benjamin F. Brownlee; and son, William T. Brownlee. Survivors include her loving and very caring daughter, Margaret Dent; son-in-law, Bruce A. Dent; grandsons, Joshua and Jason (Lippie) Dent, all of Monroe. A memorial service will be held at a later date.

She was preceded in death by her husband, J.W. Hemphill, and her son, Johnny Newman. Survivors include her sister, Kyrous Brown and husband Ray; former daughter-in-law, Lovie Newman Hammett; grandson, Mark Newman; two great-grandsons; and a number of nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by his parents and three brothers.
