Jerry W. Bishop Jr.
Mr. Jerry Walker Bishop, Jr., 77, of West Monroe, died at his residence on Friday, April 24, 2009.
His funeral was at 10 a.m. Monday, April 27, at Mulhearn Funeral Home of West Monroe, with Rev. Rick Crandall officiating. Interment was at Zoar Methodist Church Cemetery near Chatham.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Jerry Walker Bishop and Mildred Smoot Bishop of Tuscaloosa, Ala.
Survivors include his wife of 52 years, Mrs. Mary Virginia Bishop; sons, Wade Bishop and wife, Kathy, and Andy Bishop all of West Monroe, and Mike Bishop of Atlanta, Ga.; grandchildren, Ashley, Jason, Chris, Michael Patrick, all of West Monroe; sister, Mary Norma Morton and husband, Max; brother-in-law, Bill Threadgill and wife, Kathleen; and numerous nieces and nephews.
Pallbearers were Jason Bishop, Chris Bishop, Ray Williams, Wayne Heckford, Billy Bell and Craig Kolb. Honorary pallbearers were Henry Carter, Michael Patrick Bishop, Jeff Wolf and the Coffee Group Members of Drennan's Medicine Chest.
Memorials may be made to the McClendon Baptist Church Children's Building Fund.
Rev. Henry A. Berry
Rev. Henry A. Berry, 91, of West Monroe, died April 28, 2009, at Glenwood Regional Medical Center after a very lengthy illness.
His celebration and homegoing service was at 3 p.m. Friday, May 1, at Kilpatrick Funeral Home of West Monroe with Revs. Shane Warren and Butch Pilcher officiating. Interment was at Hasley Cemetery.
He was preceded in death by his son, John Michael Berry.
Survivors include his beloved wife of 66 years, Jane Moore Berry; a sister, Marguerite Jacks; and a number of nieces, nephews and friends.
Pallbearers were nephews and included Leonard Shoemaker, Tim, Richard, and Jud Moore, Chris Sullivan and Freeman Blaney.
Robert Frank Bonner Sr.
Mr. Robert Frank Bonner Sr., 88, of Monroe, passed away Friday, April 24, 2009.
His funeral was at 3 p.m. Saturday, April 25, at Northminster Church with Rev. Welton Gaddy officiating. Interment was at Mulhearn Memorial Park Cemetery under the direction of Mulhearn Funeral Home, Sterlington Road, Monroe.
Survivors include his wife of 57 years, Sharon Bonner; son, Robert Frank Bonner Jr.; two daughters, Latina Bonner Robinson and husband, Douglas, and Cathy Crenshaw and husband, Charles Christian; two grandsons, John Robinson and wife, Genia, and Jeffrey Robinson and wife, Cindy; and eight great-grandchildren.

Sybil F. Edwards
Sybil F. Edwards, 76, of West Monroe, passed away on Thursday, April 23, 2009, in West Monroe.
Her funeral was at 10 a.m. Monday, April 27, at Kilpatrick Funeral Home of West Monroe with Rev. Larry Hibbard officiating. Interment was at Christ Church Cemetery in Bastrop.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Virgil and Nonar Edwards, and brothers Alfred Edwards, Glenn Edwards, Johnny Edwards, Noel Edwards and Leonard Edwards.
Survivors include her daughter, Lynn Wyles and husband, Faron; sisters, Vera Redding, Jerry Morgan, Carol McCasland and Shirley Steele; brothers, Lavelle Edwards and John Edwards; two grandsons, John Wyles, Michael Wyles; and several nieces and nephews.
Pallbearers were Dusty and Michael Wyles, Nick Phillips, Sammy Rogers, Manual Navarro and Dale Paul. Honorary pallbearers were John Wyles and Roger Mayes.
Addie Elese Eppinette
Mrs. Addie Elese Eppinette, 92, of Monroe, passed away Monday, April 20, 2009.
Her funeral was at 2 p.m. Wednesday, April 22, at Melbourne Baptist Church in Transylvania, with Revs. Mike Howard and Andy Myrick officiating. Interment was at Lake Providence Memorial Cemetery.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Willie Eppinette.
Survivors include her daughters, Billie Evelyn Battenfield of Pearl, Miss. and Myrna Rae Nolan and husband, Frank, of Collinston; six grandchildren; 12 great-grandchildren; four great-great-grandchildren.
Pallbearers were Jim Battenfield, Michael Battenfield, Nathan Battenfield, Austin Battenfield, Zac Sullivan and Ryan Sanford.
Mary K. Fairbanks
Funeral services for Mrs. Mary K. Fairbanks, 91, of Monroe, were at 3 p.m. Friday, April 24, 2009, at Mulhearn Memorial Park in Monroe. Rev. Clyde Ray Webber Jr. officiated and arrangements were by Mulhearn Funeral Home of West Monroe.
Survivors include her sons, John Howard Fairbanks Jr. and wife, Tegwin, and Thomas H. Fairbanks and wife, Diane; daughter, Emmeline Cain; 11 grandchildren; 17 great-grandchildren; and two sisters, Alice Belle Zerby and Leon Richardson.

Mr. John W. Graham, 74, of Monroe, passed away Friday, April 24, 2009.

Nellie Ruth Brooks Graham
Nellie Ruth Brooks Graham, 87, passed away on April 24, 2009, at Francis Specialty Hospital in Monroe after a brief illness.
Her funeral was at 2 p.m. Sunday, April 26, at Lakeshore Baptist Church with Rev. Wil liam Smith officiating. Interment was at Mulhearn Memorial Park Cemetery under the direction of Mulhearn Funeral Home, Sterlington Road, Monroe.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Harry; and her two brothers, Vernon and Tommy Brooks.
Survivors include her children, Larkin Mulhearn and his wife, Donna, and Gary Graham and his wife, Beverly; her grandson, Dr. Jeremy Graham; and two step grandsons, Hutton and Harrison Banks.
Pallbearers were Walter Pierron, Jim Brooks, Jim Slaughter, Sonny Tarpley, Hutton Banks and Harrison Banks. Honorary pallbearers are Dan McDuff and J.E. Tripp.
Virginia Ruth Hamilton
Ms. Virginia Ruth Hamilton, 56, of West Monroe, passed away April 24, 2009, in West Monroe.
Graveside services were at 2 p.m. Sunday, April 26, at Hasley Cemetery with Rev. Jon Tellifero officiating. Interment followed under the direction of Mulhearn Funeral Home of West Monroe.
Survivors include her sister, Sara H. Golson and husband, Billy R., of West Monroe; brother, I. H. (Hank) Hamilton of West Monroe; sister-in-law, Tracy Smith Hamilton of West Monroe; nieces, Lendon Golson Noel and husband, Ashton, of Mandeville, Beth Golson of Houston, Texas, Heather Hamilton Finely and husband, Bart, of West Monroe, Ann Hamilton Reeves and husband, David, of West Monroe, and Becky Hamilton of West Monroe; nephew, Hank Hamilton of Colorado; three great nieces; and four great nephews.

Mrs. Lucille G. (Luci) Stewart Harrison, 72, of Monroe, passed away Wednesday, April 22, 2009, in Monroe.
Her funeral was at 10:30 a.m. Friday, April 24, at First United Methodist Church with Rev. JoAnn Cooper officiating. Graveside services were at 2 p.m. Friday at Jonesboro Cemetery in Jonesboro under the direction of Mulhearn Funeral Home, Sterlington Road, Monroe.
Survivors include her husband of 52 years, John K. Harrison; sons, John Kennedy Harrison II of Houston, Texas, Reace Barrow Harrison of The Woodlands, Texas, Stewart Guess Harrison of Tomball, Texas, and Will Preston Harrison of Austin, Texas; granddaughter, Hannah Harrison of The Woodlands, Texas; and sister, Virginia L. Stewart and husband Gene E. Schaefer of Shelbyville, Tenn.

Funeral services for Mrs. Ruth Mauriane Hudnall, 83, of West Monroe, were at 10 a.m. Thursday, April 30, at Cheniere Baptist Church with Rev. Robert Spicer officiating. Interment was at the church cemetery under the direction of Mulhearn Funeral Home of West Monroe.
Survivors include her two sons, James L. "Jimmy" Hudnall of West Monroe and Tommy Leroy Hudnall and wife, Leslie of Chino, Calif.; four grandchildren; 10 great-grandchildren; two sisters, Mildred Ross of Jackson, Tenn. and Carolyn Butler of West Monroe; and a very special sister-in-law, Mary Ray.
Pallbearers were Jamie Hudnall, Jessy Hudnall, Jimmy Tucker, Anthony Geist, Tommy Hodge, Wayne Griffin, Dewayne Hood and Bruce Cain.
Linda Faye McKeithen Jimes
Mrs. Linda Faye McKeithen Jimes, 60, of West Monroe, went to be with the Lord on April 23, 2009 after a short illness.
Her funeral was at 11 a.m. Saturday, April 25, at Peniel Baptist Church with Revs. Eddie Shoemaker and Billy Taylor officiating. Interment was at Roselawn Memorial Gardens Cemetery in Calhoun under the direction of Mulhearn Funeral Home of West Monroe. Larry Anderson played trumpet at graveside.
She was preceded in death by her father, Calop McKeithen and her brother, James McKeithen.
Survivors include her husband, Dennis Glenn Jimes of West Monroe; daughter, Tracy Jordan and husband, Jamie, of West Monroe; son, Dwayne Jimes of Keithville; mother, Katie McKeithen of West Monroe; sister, Jessie Sullivan of Bossier City; brother, Jerry McKeithen and wife, Linda, of Bossier City; sister in-law, Shirley McKeithen of Houston, Texas; six grandchildren; and numerous nieces and nephews.

Dorothy Iola Knight
Mrs. Dorothy Knight, 67, of Monroe, went to be with the Lord on Friday, April 24, 2009, after a brief illness.
Her funeral was at 2 p.m. Tuesday, April 28, at Mulhearn Funeral Home, Sterlington Road, Monroe, with Revs. Terry Mims and Tom McCurley officiating. Interment was at Mulhearn Memorial Park Cemetery.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Leonard and Hazel Clark Brown; her sister and brother-in-law, Mildred and Donzell Flynn; her father-in-law, Emmitt Knight; and her nephews, Brian Knight and Kelly Putnam.
Survivors include her husband of 45 years, Timothy Knight; her son, Keith Knight; her son, Paul Knight and his wife, Lanette; four grandchildren, Amber, Beth Ann, Silas and Sarah; her sisters, Wilma Putnam and Ardith Weber; her brother, Kenneth Brown; her mother-in-law, Kathryn Knight; and her brother-in-law and sister-in-law, Terry and Barbara Knight.

Dr. Thomas J. Mulhearn III
Funeral services for Dr. Thomas J. Mulhearn III, 58, of Monroe, LA were at 10 a.m. Wednesday, May 6, 2009, at Jesus the Good Shepherd Catholic Church with Rev. Edmund Moore officiating. Interment was at Mulhearn Memorial Park Cemetery.
Mr. Mulhearn passed away Saturday, May 2, 2009. He was a graduate of Neville High School and LSU School of Medicine. He was preceded in death by his parents, Thomas J. Mulhearn, Jr. and Edna Mae Brock Mulhearn.
Survivors include his sons, Burns Mulhearn and Dr. Thomas Mulhearn IV and wife, Emma; granddaughters, Ella and Hailey; aunt, Elizabeth Mulhearn Slaughter; and numerous cousins.

Mrs. Wilda "Sweetheart" Phillips, 84, of West Monroe, passed died Tuesday, April 21, 2009, in West Monroe.

She was preceded in death by her husband Hilton Phillips; sisters, Margie Foreman and Polly Harding.

Mr. Sidney L. "Sid" Reynolds, 59, of Monroe, passed away Tuesday, April 21, 2009, after a brief illness.

He was preceded in death by his father, Stark Levi Reynolds Jr.; two brothers; and two sisters.
Survivors include his wife of 39 years, Mary K. Reynolds; son, Sidney L. "Butch" Reynolds II; daughter, Kimberly Reynolds; five grandchildren, Robert Levi Reynolds, Jason Michael Reynolds, Rebecca Faye Reynolds, Jacob Gavin Stanga, and Shelby Sarah Margaret Stanga; mother, Lulu Reynolds; six brothers; and two sisters.

Mrs. Gennette Lowe Russell Smith, 86, passed away Sunday, April 26, 2009, in Monroe.
Her funeral was at 10 a.m. Wednesday, April 29, at Kilpatrick Funeral Home of Monroe with Revs. Calvin Stapp and Jim Ragsland officiating. Interment was at Henry Cemetery in Hico.
She was preceded in death by her parents, William Henry and Etta Lowe; two husbands, Walter J. Russell and M. Earl Smith; sister, Geraldine Mead; brothers-in-law, Marvin Mead, Chap Lockhart and George Thomas; and nephew, Gerald Mead.
Survivors include three children, Geoffrey Russell and wife, Della, Suzanne Russell Barnett and husband, Raymond, and God-Daughter, Andrea Bryant and husband, Creed; grandson, Aaron Russell and wife, Sonya; granddaughter, Bethany Bryant Collins and husband, Jeremy; great-grandchildren, Megan and Josh Russell and Colton Collins; sisters, Louise Lowe Dowell and husband, Jack, Jo Edith Lowe Thomas, and Sue Lowe Lockhart; and numerous nieces and nephews.
