Glenwood auxiliary honors past presidents

The Glenwood Regional Medical Center Auxiliary recently honored past presidents with a luncheon.

The past presidents able to attend includes Dorothy Spillers, Jean Griggs, Gail Haynes, Linda Terrell and Dot Scott.

Each of the past presidents was introduced to those in attendance. After Scott said the blessing, the past presidents led the way through the buffet line for lunch. The food was provided by the food service staff at Glenwood, and everyone agreed the food was excellent and plentiful.

A brief meeting was conducted after the meal and Jean McNeil had the pleasure of introducing this year's special honoree, Jean Griggs.

McNeil told of the many achievements Griggs had during her lifetime and presented her with a red apron with the Auxiliary emblem on it, a plaque and a CD with some of Griggs' favorite songs.

Several Auxiliary members wore red aprons to symbolize Griggs' honor.

President Dorothy Spillers called the meeting to a close with the door prize drawing, which was won by Fay Jackson.
