Kincade elected
to board of governors

West Monroe attorney Charles Kincade was recently elected to the Board of Governors of the Louisiana State Bar Association.
The Board of Governors is charged with fiscal responsibility and administration of the affairs of the association.
Kincade was elected to a three-year term from the seventh district, which consists of the 14 parishes of Northeast Louisiana.
Kincade practices both civil and criminal law. Kincade formerly served on the board of directors of the North Louisiana Legal Assistance Corporation and currently serves on the board of directors of the Ouachita Community Action program.

Chamber welcomes new board members
The Monroe Chamber Board of Directors welcomes Stuart Keyes, District Sales Manager for CenturyTel, and Louis Bremer, CEO for St. Francis Regional Medical Center to the Board of Directors. Bremer and Keyes will fill open positions.
"We are honored to have these two gentlemen join the board," said Isaac White, Monroe Chamber Chairman.
"They bring a wealth of talent and professionalism to the board and we appreciate their willingness to give their time to the chamber."

Signs Now owner
receives award

Mike Tyson, owner of the Signs Now located at 907 North 18th St., recently received an International Sales Growth Award for being in the top five network businesses in increased sales growth for North America for November 2008.
Tyson also won the award in September.

Entergy CEO wins top marks from magazine
J. Wayne Leonard, chairman and chief executive officer for Entergy Corporation, is one of the nation's "Best CEOs" and among the top five leaders in the power industry, according to rankings compiled by Institutional Investor magazine.
Leonard placed second among the top CEOs in the power industry.
In addition, Entergy's investor relations department was named one of the best in the country. The group ranked second in the electric utility industry, according to the survey of buy-side analysts.
