A second victim in a Thursday evening hit-and-run crash on Interstate 20 has died, according to Louisiana State Police.

Tammie Archie, 49, of Ruston, was pronounced dead at LSU-Shreveport Hospital on Sunday morning. Archie had been transported to the hospital after being ejected from the vehicle she was riding in.

Troopers are still seeking information on the truck and driver that caused this crash.

A seven-year-old female died Thursday night in the crash.

A 2007 Toyota Camry was traveling west on I-20 in the right lane beside an unknown 18-wheeler. The driver of the Camry said that the 18-wheeler changed lanes into her vehicle causing her to run off the right side of the road and lose control. After leaving the roadway, the Camry rolled over and ejected two of its four occupants.

A seven-year-old girl and Archie were both ejected from the vehicle. The child was pronounced dead at the scene.

Archie was unrestrained at the time of the crash. The 7-year-old was reported to have been restrained with an adult seat belt.

The driver of the Camry, identified as 21-year-old Jerika Archie from Grambling, was taken to Glenwood with minor injuries. A fourth occupant, identified as 26-year-old Michelle Archie from Arcadia, was transported to Glenwood with minor injuries.

According to Jerika Archie and another witness, the truck that caused the crash slowed down briefly, but then continued west on Interstate 20 without stopping. They described the "18-wheeler" as having a white cab, pulling a flat bed type trailer with freight strapped to the middle portion of the trailer.

Anyone with information which may help identify the truck involved in this crash is asked to call the Troop F office at 345-0000 or their local law enforcement agency.

In 2009, Louisiana State Police Troop F Troopers have investigated 11 fatal crashes resulting in 12 deaths.
