Highlighted by Sadrina Shaw's victory in the 400-meter hurdles, the ULM track & field team continued its outdoor season on Saturday afternoon in Baton Rouge at the LSU Alumni Gold event.
Shaw crossed in a time of 1:02.21, which was almost a full second ahead of UALR's Britney Allen.
Heather Davis took second in the high jump, clearing a height of 5-07.00 feet. Jerrica Thomas also recorded a top-10 finish in the long jump with a mark of 18-04.25 feet.
Mychal Word finished third in the 400-meter hurdles with a NCAA Regional-qualifying time of 51.71 seconds.
Brandon Smithers finished fourth in the long jump with a leap of 23-03.50 feet, while Josh Howard took home third place in the triple jump with a mark of 48-04.75 feet.
The Warhawks also had three athletes finish in the top-10 in the throwing events. Marcie Richard finished eighth in the javelin with a mark of 40.50 meters.
Seth Ilaoa came in sixth in the shot put after a toss of 52-04.00 feet, while Richard McKay took eighth in the javelin with a throw of 61.93 meters.
ULM will be back in action this weekend when it hosts the ULM Warhawk Classic at Groseclose Track at Brown Stadium on Saturday.
