Local track athletes from all over the parish participated in the Richwood Relays last week at Richwood High School.

The West Ouachita boys team won the event while Richwood took home top honors in the overall team standings in the girls competition.

West Ouachita had 121 total points on the boys side with Neville coming in second with 93 points and Richwood third with 81. Ouachita scored 31 points and West Monroe scored 20 points while competing in none of the running events, only field events.

Richwood's Lady Rams team left the competition in the dust with their 165 team points. West Ouachita was second with 82 points. Ouachita was third with 78 points while Wossman was fourth with a total of 64 team points.

Neville finished with 30 girl's points and Carroll was just behind with 29 points. Each school had some high performances from their key contributors on their respective teams.

K'Deidra Massey of Wossman High School won a pair of events as well. Massey won the girls 1600 over Richwood's Serenity Dunn while also edging Dunn in the 3200 meter race.
