Rebels, Panthers to clash
posted E-mail Story E-mail Story | Print Story Print Story
The Sterlington Panthers travel to West Monroe Saturday afternoon to take on the Rebels Shelby Aulds Field. The contest is scheduled to start at 1 p.m.

The two local powerhouses have not met much on the baseball diamond, but each school has a storied history of picking up steam and playing well as the season gets into the month of April.

The large step-up in classification should help Class 2A Sterlington get even better during in district play and during the playoffs when the Panthers take on Class 5A West Monroe.

The Rebels have made it to the state tournament three times in the last seven years.
