Carter Layne Antommaria, 3 months, of West Monroe, passed away Thursday, March 19, 2009.
His funeral was at 10 a.m. Monday, March 23, at Mulhearn Funeral Home, Sterlington Road, Monroe, with Rev. Chad Ballard officiating.
Survivors include his mother, Hope Antommaria; grandmother, Lisa Lowery; great grandparents, Ted and Gail Lowery; great great grandmother, Ella McKnight; aunts, Dawn Stanfield and husband Jason and Nicole Antommaria; great uncle, Steve Lowery; cousins, Haley Owens and Kirsten Stanfield.
Pallbearers were Ted Lowery, Steve Lowery, Jason Stanfield and Adam Dampier.

Marion M. Barkley
A celebration of the life for Mr. Marion M. Barkley, 70, of Monroe, and formerly of Sumter, S.C. was at 11 a.m. Saturday, March 28, 2009, in the chapel of Louisiana War Veteran's Home with Pastor Mike Back officiating.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Archie and Sudie Barkley and brother William Barkley.
Survivors include his loving wife of 51 years, Arlette Barkley; children, Mike Barkley of Monroe, David Barkley and wife Sandy of Shreveport, Annette and husband C.C. Flanagan of Monroe; three granddaughters, Kendra, Lauren, and Andria; one grandson, Joshua; two great grandchildren, Christopher Lee and Jessa Lynn Renee; two brothers, Archie and James Barkley; and sister, Margaret Launius.
Janet W. Brantley
Mrs. Janet W. Brantley, 73, of Monroe, passed away Wednesday, March 25, 2009.
Her funeral was at 2 p.m. Friday, March 27, at Mulhearn Funeral Home, Sterlington Road, Monroe, with Dennis Mitchell officiating. Interment was at Mulhearn Memorial Park Cemetery.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Jesse James Brantley Sr.; brothers, William Lawrence Wagner, Jr., Vincent Harry Wagner, and Daniel Gordon Wagner; sisters, Bernice Schlarb, Florence Wagner, Constance Wagner, and Lois Ann Wagner; and step grandchild, Chelsea Kershaw.
Survivors include her son, Jesse James Brantley Jr. and wife Tammy of Jennings; daughter Vicky Douglas and husband Cam of Monroe; grandchildren, Victoria "Tori" Douglas and Virginia "Ginny" Douglas, both of Monroe; step grandchildren, Lacie and Tony Kershaw of Jennings, and Sunday Douglas Daly of Lafayette; and brothers, Donald Wagner and wife Connie of Glenshaw, Penn., and Richard Wagner and wife Kathleen of Pittsburgh, Penn.
Pallbearers were Jesse Brantley, Bill Brantley, Mark Brantley, Mike Barmore, Ryan Gresham, and Karl Davis.
Clyde Bill Easterling
Funeral services for Mr. Clyde Bill Easterling, 67, of West Monroe, were at 11 a.m. Saturday, March 28, at Mulhearn Funeral Home of West Monroe, with Rev. Jeff Holloway officiating. Interment was at Serenity Gardens Cemetery.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Bill and Florine Easterling.
Survivors include his wife, Shirley Easterling; six children, Carolyn Taylor, Michael Chenevert and wife Elizabeth, David Chenevert and wife Donna, Sandra Styron and fiancé Barney Robertson, Randy Johnson and fiancé Andrea Edmonson, and Cheryl Johnson and husband Quentin; twelve grandchildren; ten great grandchildren; and sisters, Bobbie Martin and Esther McGee.
Pallbearers were Richard Dunn, Dennis Joe Mayhall, Quentin Johnson, James Pappas, Travis Martin, and Barney Robertson. Honorary pallbearer was Joseph Johnson.
Annie Comrato Graham
Mrs. Annie Comrato Graham, 104, of Monroe, passed away Thursday, March 19, 2009, at St. Francis Medical Center.
Her funeral was at 11 a.m. Monday, March 23, at Our Lady of Fatima Catholic Church with Father Sebastian, Father Phillip, Father James and Father Bobby Inzina officiating. Interment was at St. Matthew Catholic Cemetery under the direction of Mulhearn Funeral Home, Sterlington Road, Monroe.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Bernard L. Graham; parents, Mary And Charles Comrato; brothers, Louis Comrato and Phillip Comrato; sisters, Josephine Comrato, Lottie C. Anzalone and Frances C. Fisher.
Survivors include her sisters, Johanna Comrato, Marie "Bo" Comrato, and Virginia Comrato; nieces, Mary Margaret Dorris, Charlene Bruno, and Margaret Anzalone; great nieces, Gail Boyd, Kathy Stewart, Lisa Wassack, Donna Ferlicca, and Laura Anzalone; great nephews, Calvin "Chip" Dorris, Mike Bruno, and Joey Bruno; numerous great great nieces and nephews and great great great nieces and nephews.
Pallbearers were Mark Norris, Paul Burke, Ron Boyd, Will Tatum, David Wassack, Joey Feltri, Pete Embanato, Chris Ferlicca and Lanny Stewart. Honorary pallbearers were Calvin "Chip" Dorris.
Michael Eugene Grove
Mr. Michael Eugene Grove, 62, of West Monroe, passed away Friday, March 20, 2009, in Monroe, as a result of an accident.
Memorial services were at 2 p.m. Thursday, March 26, at Kilpatrick Funeral Home of West Monroe, with Rev. Woods Watson officiating. Interment was private.
Survivors include his wife, Dawn Grove, half brothers; Ron Salley and Phillip Grove, daughter; Jan Hart, grandsons; Mason and Dylan Hart, granddaughter; Trinitee Walker.
Sonya Perot Hemphill
Mrs. Sonya Perot Hemphill, 38, of Sterlington, passed away Saturday, March 21, 2009.
Her funeral was at 2 p.m. Monday, March 23, at Mulhearn Funeral Home, Sterlington Road, Monroe, with Rev. Curtis Wilson officiating. Interment was at Mulhearn Memorial Park Cemetery.
She was preceded in death by her grandparents, Yancy and Ethel Perot, and Leonard and Estelle Snell.
Survivors include her husband, Jeff Hemphill; sons, Bradley Hemphill and Brock Hemphill; grandson, Brennan Hemphill; parents, George and Betty Perot; sister, Tressie Perot; and numerous nieces and nephews.
Pallbearers were Jason Frith, Eric Cook, Kendall Cash, Wesley Yarbrough, Kevin Armstrong and David Eley.
The family requests all donations in memory of Sonya be made to a fund at Marion State Bank to purchase playground equipment for the pre-k playground at the new A.L. Smith Elementary School.
Don Eugene Hendricks
A memorial service for Don Eugene Hendricks, 74, of Monroe, was at 11 a.m. Thursday, March 26, 2009, at Kingdom Hall of Jehovah's Witness with Mr. Huey Hughes officiating.
Mr. Hendricks passed away March 24, 2009. He was preceded in death by his son, Michael Todd Hendricks.
Survivors include his wife of 55 years, Patricia T. Hendricks; 5 children, Paul E. Hendricks, Mark A. Hendricks, Shaughn L. Hendricks, Vaughn C. Hendricks, and Amie E. Hendricks; five grandchildren, two great grandchildren, two sisters, and one brother.
Rita Faye Osburn Hixon
Mrs. Rita Faye Osburn Hixon, 64, of Monroe, passed away on Saturday, March 21, 2009, in Monroe.
Her funeral was at 2 p.m. Wednesday, March 25, at Mulhearn Funeral Home, Sterlington Road, Monroe, with Rev. Jeff Smart officiating. Interment was at Mulhearn Memorial Park Cemetery.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Jewel Ferrand Osburn and William Osburn; sister, Pat LeButt; brothers, Billy Joe Osburn and Morris Glenn Osburn; father-in-law, Sam C. Hixon, Sr.; mother-in-law, Viloa V. Brooks Hixon; and sister-in-law, Jessie B. Hixon Deal.
Survivors include her husband of 47 years, Prentice M. Hixon; children, Tina Hixon, Scott Hixon and wife Tammy, B.J. Moore and husband Mike, and Benjamin T. Hixon; special cousin, Shelby J. Aufiere and husband David; nine grandchildren; nine great grandchildren; sister-in-law, Mattie L. Foster; sisters, Linda Tuggle and husband Joe, Wanda Woods and husband Terry, Barbara Jones, Judy Rea and husband James; brother-in-law, Sam C. Hixon Jr. and wife Virginia; numerous nieces and nephews.
Pallbearers were David Aufiere, Joe Tuggle, Glenn Beach, Lynn Beach, James Rea, and Sam C. Hixon, Jr. Honorary pallbearers were Tommy Hixon, Maurice Nelson, Brandon Clarkson, Robert Clarkson, Jr., Jerry Miles, Mike Moore, and all of her great nephews.
JoAnn Marlene Williams Hudson
Mrs. JoAnn Marlene Williams Hudson, 75, of West Monroe, passed away on Friday, March 20, 2009.
Her funeral was at 2 p.m. Sunday, March 22, at Mulhearn Funeral Home of West Monroe, with Rev. David Mixon officiating. Interment was at Williams Cemetery in Eros.
She was preceded in death by her husband, E.D. Hudson; parents, Heman and Ardella Williams and brother, Richard Williams.
Survivors include one son, Kenny Acree; two daughters, Debbie Rogers and husband, Ronnie and Delores Mixon and husband, Joel; very special friend, James K. Hillhouse; one brother, Donald Williams; three sisters, Otha Sandford, Doris Edwins, and Kitty Holton; seven grandchildren and eight great grandchildren.
James Glenn Hundley
Mr. James Glenn "Buddy" Hundley, 78, of West Monroe, passed away Sunday, March 22, 2009, in Monroe.
His funeral was at 11 a.m. Wednesday, March 25, with Rev. Woods Watson officiating. Interment was at Antioch Cemetery in Eros under the direction of Kilpatrick Funeral Home of West Monroe.
He was preceded in death by a daughter, Debra Lynn Hundley.
Survivors include his wife Dorothy Virginia Hundley and daughter, Dewanna Hundley.
Pallbearers were fellow ushers at First Baptist Church.
Kathryn McMillon
Mrs. Kathryn "Pudgie" McMillon, 67, of Calhoun, died Monday, March 23, 2009, in Calhoun.
Her funeral was at 11 a.m. Thursday, March 26, at Mulhearn Funeral Home of West Monroe, with Rev. Phil Middleton officiating. Interment was at Mulhearn Memorial Park Cemetery in Monroe.
She was preceded in death by her husband Jimmy McMillon.
Survivors include her children, Dawn Brown and husband Ron, DeAnn Lee and husband Buddy, Jodi McMillon, and Jennifer Chandler; grandchildren, Josh, Kolt, Dalton, Kole, Katelyn, Kiersten, Lane, Dylan and Jake.
Pallbearers were her grandsons, Larry Painich, and Josh Grant.
Michael Landon Miles
Michael Landon Miles, 56, succumbed to Acute Myelogenous Leukemia at MD Anderson Cancer Center in Houston, Texas.
Survivors include his wife Mary Dossett Miles, daughter Megan Moncrief of New York, his parents Landon and Virginia Miles, his sister Margaret McInnis and her husband Mike McInnis, and his aunt Juanita V. Ash, all of Monroe, his niece, Jenny Barnes Stacey and husband George and their children Mae, Barnes, and Margaret of Gadsden, Ala. and his nephew, Price Barnes and wife Christie of Nashville, Tenn.
A private cremation ceremony was held at 2 p.m. Tuesday, March 24, at Brookside Funeral Home and Cemetery in Houston, Texas. Visitation was followed by a memorial celebration at Mulhearn Funeral Home, Sterlington Road, Monroe.
Memorials may be made to MD Anderson Leukemia Center, the Ouachita Parish Humane Society, the Monroe Youth Baseball Association, or a charity of your choice.
Mary Lee Minninger
Mrs. Mary Lee Minninger, 82, of Monroe, passed away Monday, March 23, 2009.
Her funeral was at 10 a.m. Thursday, March 26, at Jesus the Good Shepherd Catholic Church with Msgr. Edmund Moore and Rev. Mark Watson officiating. Interment was at Mulhearn Memorial Park Cemetery under the direction of Mulhearn Funeral Home, Sterlington Road, Monroe.
Survivors include her husband of 61 years, John Minninger; children, Linda Miller and husband Tommy of Huttig, Ark.; Pete Minninger; David Minninger and wife Anne all of Monroe; Richard Minninger and wife Cheryl of Grayson; and Brad Minninger of Monroe; sister, Ginny Bufkin; brother, Joe Martin both of Madison, Miss.; and grandchildren, Mary Ashley Miller, Matt Minninger, Bershen Minninger, Stuart Baum, Zachary Baum, and Spencer Baum.
Pallbearers were Joe Reljac, Tom Grigson, Carey Zeagler, Ed Regan, Craig Lott and Dennis Lasuzzo.

Alton Pipkin
Alton "Mr. Al" Pipkin, 62, of Rayville, passed away Sunday, March 22, 2009, at the Rayville Rehab and Nurse Care Center.
Memorial services were at 11 a.m. Wednesday, March 25, at Mulhearn Funeral Home of Rayville with Dr. Ernest Winburn officiating.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Jesse Hulet and Eunice Irene Pipkin.
Survivors include his two daughters, Sharon Hollis and Lisa Nealy, both of West Monroe; granddaughter, Autumn Alaynah Witten of West Monroe, and sisters, Jesse Irene Hendrix and husband LaVelle and Bertha Jerome Morse; special friend, Linda Briley and many close friends in Rayville.

Mr. Reynolds was preceded in death by his parents, Grace Viola and Tom Jackson; wife, Dorothy Watkins Reynolds; son, Mark Anthony Reynolds; brother, Charles Reynolds; sister, Clara Reynolds Born.
Survivors include his children, Thomas Dwayn Reynolds and wife Chyleen, David Allen Reynolds and wife Blanche, Marilyn Reynolds Bryant and husband Steve, and daughter-in-law, Kimberly Reynolds Cathey and husband Tom; grandchildren, Erica Crystal Reynolds, Mark Colby Reynolds, Thomas Jared Reynolds, Bailie Jordan Bryant, Tyler Kale Reynolds, Tom Jackson Reynolds, Mark Mattison Reynolds, and Anna-Beth Bryant; sister, Vivian Reynolds Marchett.

Robert Leon Smith
Robert Leon Smith, 60, of Calhoun, passed away Wednesday, March 25, 2009, in West Monroe.
His funeral was at 10 a.m. Saturday, March 28, at First Baptist Church of Calhoun with Rev. Neil Everett officiating. Interment was at Mt. Zion Cemetery in Calhoun under the direction of Kilpatrick Funeral Home of West Monroe.
He was preceded in death by a grandson, Robert Lee Herrington.
Survivors include his wife of 42 years, Brenda; daughters, Lisa Herrington and husband Buddy, Tonya Monk and husband Terry; son, Leslie Smith and wife LaRynda; seven grandchildren; sister, Betty Wiltcher and husband William; and a special nephew, David Smith and a host of friends and loved ones.
Pallbearers were Raymond Jordan, Eddie Jordan, Chris Thomas, Gary Wayne Neal, James Lowery and Tony Smith. Honorary pallbearers were Rodney Knowles and Randy Neal.
Harry Taylor Statham
Funeral services for Mr. Harry Taylor Statham, 90, of Monroe, were at 2 p.m. Sunday, March 22, at First United Methodist Church with Rev. Larry Stafford officiating. Interment was at Mulhearn Memorial Park Mausoleum under the direction of Mulhearn Funeral Home, Sterlington Road, Monroe.
Mr. Statham passed away March 20, 2009, at Avalon Place.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Harry and Myrine Statham; brothers, Rufus, Raymond, and Cooper Statham; and baby sister, Faith Myrine Statham.
Survivors include his wife, Emma Elizabeth Statham; nephews, Frederick Berna Cooper and Clifton Marvin Cooper; nieces Virginia Cooper Banks and Dorris Elizabeth Cooper; and brothers, Ottis Statham and wife Lucille of Start, Roy Statham and wife Sarah of Chester, S.C., Rodney Statham and wife Earline of Calhoun, and C. W. Statham and wife Cynthia of Gilmer, Texas; and numerous other nieces and nephews.
Pallbearers were Byron Atkins, Kary Bryce, Stephen Banks, Roddy (Trey) White, Berna Cooper and Marvin Cooper. Honorary pallbearers were the members of the Men's Bible Class from First United Methodist Church in Monroe.
David Lee Witherington
Mr. David Lee Witherington, 75, of Monroe, passed away Saturday, March 21, 2009, at his home.
Memorial services were at 7 p.m. Tuesday, March 24, at Kilpatrick Funeral Home of West Monroe, with Charles Headrick officiating.
He was preceded in death by his mother, Maude B. Witherington, father, James Ernest Witherington; a son, Davie Witherington; sisters; Juanita Griswold and Faye Harper; brothers, Charles C. Witherington and James B. Witherington; several nieces and nephews.
Survivors include a son, Danny Witherington and wife Marcy; daughter, Brandi Rae Wells; 3 grandchildren, Holly Witherington, Benton and Owen Wells; sisters, Gladys Miles, Annette Robertson and husband Terry and many caring family and friends.
