Monroe City Council Clerk installed as group president

Monroe City Council Clerk Carolus Riley was recently installed as president of the Louisiana Municipal Clerks Association.

The official installation took place last weekend at the at the Louisiana Municipal Clerks Association's 49th Annual Spring Conference. Riley succeeded Lana Patton, City Clerk of Bernice, in LMCA's highest office.

Monroe City Council Chairman Robert "Red" Stevens said, "Carolus is excellent at her job, and she will do an outstanding job representing clerks around the entire state. I am sure I speak for the mayor, city council and city employees in stating how proud we are of Carolus for this achievement."

Stevens administered the oath of office to Riley and the other new officers on LMCA's executive board. Mayor Jamie Mayo, who was also in attendance, offered words of encouragement and support to Riley in here endeavor. A host of family, friends and coworkers shared her accomplishment.
