The West Monroe High School drama department is hosting the 12th annual Memories of Elvis 2009, a fundraiser for Camp Quality.

The Elvis Presley impersonator contest is scheduled for Saturday, March 14, at the school auditorium. The event is an official preliminary for the World Elvis Impersonators Competition in Memphis, Tenn. The first-place winner will receive a $1,000 cash prize and all entry fees to the Memphis competition will be paid. Second place receives $500.

Tickets will be available at the door and are $10 for adults and $5 for students.

The mission of Camp Quality USA is to establish and sustain nationwide community-based camping experiences and support programs for children with cancer, ages 4-18, and their families.
