Ike to host student rodeo
posted E-mail Story E-mail Story | Print Story Print Story
Talented students from all over Louisiana will be at the Ike Hamilton Expo Center to compete for a chance to participate in state and national finals.

The Northeast Louisiana High School (NLHS) Rodeo Team is sponsoring a qualifying rodeo for high school and junior high students Feb. 27–March 1.

Students compete in ten categories like bull riding, steer wrestling, calf roping, this year's newest category — cutting, and more.

All ages are entertained by the students as they show their dedication to the sport of rodeo and their hard work and discipline.

The show starts at 7 p.m. on Friday and Saturday and 10 a.m. on Sunday. This year's rodeo also features a cowboy church on Sunday at 8:00 a.m. Tickets can be purchased at the gate for $5.

For more information on the NLHS Rodeo, contact Eric Hammons at eric@pinevalleyfoods.com or (318) 680-0575.
