Strauss takes show on road to Rayville

The Strauss Theatre will take its Neil Simon hit, "The Sunshine Boys," on the road, Saturday, Feb. 28, for a performance at the Richland Arts Center in Rayville.

"The Sunshine Boys" deals with two ex-vaudeville comedians who reunite for a TV appearance that could restart their career, that it is if they stop bickering long enough to do the sketch. Rayville resident Henry Cumpton, speech teacher and winner of numerous Christopher theatre awards, portrays the old actor Willie Clark.

Joining him is another Rayville favorite, Donna Brown Colvin, as his feisty, yet lovable nurse. Other original returning cast members include Bob Lewis, Allen Bryant, Troy Wold, Morgan Patrick, Scott Higginbotham and Kenneth Harris.

"The Sunshine Boys" plays at 7 p.m. Saturday. Advance tickets are $10 and tickets at the door are $15.

For more information, contact the Strauss at 323-6681.
