Dardenne to speak at Quota fundraiser Quota International of Monroe invites everyone to attend their annual "An Evening Under the Quota Stars" banquet and fundraiser at the ULM Library Conference Center, at 6 p.m. on Thursday, March 26. Keynote speaker will be Louisiana Secretary of State, Jay Dardenne, who will present his lively and colorful look at Louisiana's culture, demography, history, music and politics as he conducts a presentation entitled "Why Louisiana Ain't Mississippi".
This annual fundraiser will help Quota International of Monroe with their community projects, which include providing refurbished hearing aids for qualifying adults, providing prosthetic ears for children born without ears, providing school systems with equipment for hearing impaired students, and providing assistance to the ULM Communicative Disorders Department.
As a 60 year old service organization in Monroe, many other community programs have been assisted by Quota International of Monroe. They include Adopt A School Sponsorship for Clara Hall School, that includes Most Improved Student and Snuggle Buggle Book Night, partnership with NELA Children's Museum – Hands on Hearing Exhibit, Bingo for senior citizens in Public Housing and Race for the Cure.
