Obituaries published on Feb. 19, 2009 Eva Costin Austin Mrs. Eva Costin Austin, 97, of Bastrop, and formerly of Eros, passed away Wednesday, Feb. 4, 2009, after living the past year at LeGrande Rehab Center in Bastrop. Her funeral was at 2 p.m. Saturday, Feb. 7, at Community of Christ in Eros. Burial was in the church cemetery under the direction of Kilpatrick Funeral Home. She was preceded in death by her husband, W. Cleve Austin, four brothers and three sisters. Survivors include many nieces and nephews and their extended families, and by her special nephew, Don Costin, and his wife, Naomi Ruth, of Bastrop, whom she called family and resided with over the past 20 years. She also leaves many dear and cherished friends. Any donations in lieu of flowers, may be sent to the church, in her name, for its cemetery fund.
Charles Milton Clampit Mr. Charles Milton Clampit, 82, of West Monroe, died Sunday, Feb. 8, 2009, in West Monroe. His funeral was at 10 a.m. Tuesday, Feb. 10, at Kilpatrick Funeral Home of West Monroe, with Rev. Wesley Pittman officiating. Interment was at Kilpatrick's Serenity Gardens in West Monroe. Survivors include his wife, Lillian Arlene Clampit; three sons, Stephen Clampit and wife, Tracie, Paul Clampit and wife, Donna, and Jonathan Clampit and wife, Suzonne; and five grandchildren.
