Religion news published on Feb. 9, 2009 Conference planned at Peniel The Monroe/West Monroe chapter of Child Evangelism Fellowship is offering a one-day training conference for anyone who needs fresh ideas for working with children. The conference will be held from 8:30 a.m.-4:45 p.m. Saturday, Feb. 28, at Peniel Baptist Church, 1924 Jonesboro Road, West Monroe. Sessions will include presenting the gospel to children; preparing and presenting life-changing Bible lessons; challenging saved children to grow in their faith; songs; object lessons; discipline in the classroom; missions; memory verses; counseling; pre-school; and much more. The cost is $55 before Feb. 14 and includes a Children's Ministry Resource Bible, notebook, all sessions, snacks and lunch. Teachers in Christian schools will receive one ACSI continuing education unite for attending the conference. Registration after Feb. 14 is $65.
