Biedenharn to host Duo Chanot

Dr. Christopher Thompson and Michael Gurt team up to make the compelling duet of Duo Chanot and will perform in the Fountain Room of the Biedenharn home at 7 p.m. Thursday, Feb. 12. Reservations are $10.

Thompson, violinist, and Gurt, pianist, began their collaboration as Duo Chanot in 2006. Since its inception, the ensemble has received acclaim from audiences in performances of repertoire ranging from Mozart to works of contemporary composers.

Currently, Thompson serves as Professor of Violin and Chair of the string division in the School of Visual & Performing Arts at the University of Louisiana-Monroe. Gurt is the Paula Garvey Manship Distinguished Professor of Piano and Chairman of the Keyboard Division in the School of Music at Louisiana State University.

Seating is limited. Please note that a reservation is not secured until payment is received.
