Send One Suit drive set for Feb. 19-22
posted E-mail Story E-mail Story | Print Story Print Story
The annual Send One Suit drive, sponsored by Dress for Success, takes place Feb. 19-22.

For the third year in a row, Monroe-West Monroe Business and Professional Women will partner with DressBarn to collect new and gently used business-appropriate attire to donate to lower-income and disadvantaged women trying to reenter the workforce.

Suits, separates (jackets, pants, skirts, shells, blouses), shoes and purses are needed. Having the appropriate attire and job search skills helps to instill confidence in interviewees.

Besides providing "business-appropriate" attire for interviews and work, they help with interviewing skills, resume preparation and job searching.

Local agencies refer clients to the nearest Dress for Success in Shreveport. Go to http://www.dressforsuccess.org for more information on Dress for Success.

BPW are collecting these item now. To donate to the drive, bring your items to the Feb. 10 BPW meeting at the Atrium (11:30 a.m.– 1 p.m.).
