Miss Monroe pageant takes stage this weekend
 The Miss Monroe pageant will be held at 7 p.m. Saturday, Jan. 17, at the W.L. "Jack" Howard Theater.
The host will be John Denison, KNOE news anchor. Guest performer will be Monroe native Terisa Griffin, a recording artist.
The Miss Monroe winner will compete in June at the Miss Louisiana Pageant.
The contestants are:
— Rebecca Price, age 18, of Bossier City, a freshman at Louisiana Tech. She is the daughter of Shelly and Rick Price.
— Raven Hollins, 17, of Bastrop, a senior at Bastrop High School. She is the daughter of Leslie Hollins and the late John Smith.
— Kandice Williams, 21, of Monroe, a senior at the University of Louisiana-Monroe. She is the daughter of Janice Butler and James Williams.
— Jennifer Free, 20, of Rayville, a sophomore at the University of Louisiana-Monroe. She is the daughter of Rose Marie and Michael Free.
— Kimberly Rusley, 22, of Bossier City, a senior at Louisiana State University-Shreveport. She is the daughter of Bobby and Janice Rusley.
— Desiree Cotton, 20, of Monroe, a junior at Grambling State University. She is the daughter of Judianna & Dennis Turner and Tim Cotton.
— Tiffany Terrell, 19, of West Monroe, a sophomore at the University of Louisiana-Monroe. She is the daughter of Sandy, Julian and Dave Terrell.
— Christa McCann, 17, of Benton, a senior at Benton High School. She is the daughter of Evelyn and Thomas McCann.
— Shantira Prowell, 17, of Monroe, a senior at Ouachita Parish High School. She is the daughter of Deloris Tillery.
— Kimberlee Ross, 19, of Monroe, a sophomore at Southern University A&M College. She is the daughter of Cherelyn Ross and George Pappa.
— Brandy Hotard, 22, of Port Allen, a senior at Southeastern Louisiana University. She is the daughter of Dean and Stacey Hotard. |
