William Russell Baldwin
William Russell Baldwin, 38, a loving brother, was killed by a hit-and-run driver on Tuesday, Dec. 2, 2008.
Memorial services were held Saturday, Jan. 3, 2009, in Spring Hill, Ga.
He was preceded in death by his parents. Survivors include two brothers, four sisters, their families and countless friends.
The family requests memorial donations in his name be made to a homeless shelter.
Kenneth L. Bonnette Sr.
Funeral services for Mr. Kenneth L. Bonnette, Sr., 80, of West Monroe, were at 10 a.m. Monday, Dec. 29, 2008, at Pleasant Hill Church in West Monroe. Rev. Lamar Cranston, Rev. George Jacobs and Rev. Michael Sims officiated. Interment followed at the church cemetery under the direction of Mulhearn Funeral Home of West Monroe.
He was preceded in death by his wife, Eva K. Bonnette; daughter, Donna Marie; and parents, Bill and Elma Bonnette.
Survivors include his children, Janice Reeves and husband, Gene, Ken Bonnette, Jr. and wife, Lisa, Bruce Bonnette and wife, Anne Louise, and Pam Dollar and husband, Doug; grandchildren, Chris Reeves and wife, Ashley, Matthew Reeves, Brynner, Logan, Carly and Kendall Bonnette, Amber Kimble and husband, Josh, Heather Bonnette and fiancé, Andy Smith, Daniel Bonnette and fiancée, Amy Crocker, Savannah and Alana Dollar; great-grandchildren, Connor, Madison, Tori and Luke; and brother, Breard Bonnette and wife, Shirley and their children, Doyle, Sheila and Angie.
Pallbearers were Chris Reeves, Matthew Reeves, Brynner Bonnette, Logan Bonnette, Daniel Bonnette, Doyle Bonnette, Gene McCarty and Kyle White.
Honorary pallbearers were Pete Messina, Jimmy White and Howard Brown.

Robert R. Bushnell
Mr. Robert Ray Bushnell, 88, passed away Saturday, Dec. 27, 2008.
His funeral was at 2 p.m. Wednesday, Dec. 31, at College Place Baptist Church, with Rev. Jimmy Pitson and Rev. Gordon "Skip" Dean officiating. Interment was in Mulhearn Memorial Park Cemetery under the direction of Mulhearn Funeral Home, Sterlington Road, Monroe.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Ray and Dorothy Bushnell of Platteville, Wis.; and a brother, Richard Bushnell of Seattle, Wash.
Survivors include his wife of 65 years, Betty Jane Yeldell Bushnell; and two sons, R. Wayne Bushnell of Dallas, Texas, whose daughter is Staci Bushnell Fontenot with husband, Michael Fontenot, of Baton Rouge; and David N. Bushnell with wife, Denise DeLeon Bushnell, of Denver, Colo., whose children are Becki and Ryan Bushnell, also of Denver, and Brandon Bushnell of Los Angeles, Calif.; two great-grandchildren, Logan and Katelyn Jane Fontenot of Baton Rouge; two brothers, Guerdon Bushnell of Wisconsin, and Lawrence Bushnell of South Carolina; and four sisters, Alice Markunas of Illinois, Dorothy Bennett of California and Elizabeth Guyer of Florida.
Pallbearers were Kenny Anderson, Jaimie Autin, Brandon Bushnell, Harry Petty, Matt Thornton and Seth Meredith. Honorary pallbearers were deacons of College Place Baptist Church and members of Paul White's Sunday school class.

Mrs. Frances Speir Cole, 84, of Monroe, passed away on Thursday, Dec. 18, 2008, in Monroe.
Her funeral was at 2 p.m. Saturday, Dec. 20, at Kilpatrick Funeral Home of Monroe with Dr. Alan Miller officiating. Interment was in Monroe Memorial Park.
She was preceded in death by her husband of 57 years, Wesley Ray Cole, in April 2003.
Survivors include her sons, Kenneth R. Cole and wife, Marta, Ronald E. Mrs. Lois Elaine Taylor Downs, 65, of Farmerville, passed away Sunday, Dec. 21, 2008, at St. Francis Medical Center in Monroe.
Memorial services were at 10 a.m. Wednesday, Dec. 24, at Mulhearn Funeral Home of West Monroe. Rev. Marvin Downs officiated.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Charles Downs Sr., her father, S.B. Taylor and her mother, Juanita Smith.
Survivors include her children, Renee Piper, Kimberly Dean, Glenda Kemp, Rhonda Downs and Crystal Downs; two stepchildren, Charles Davis Downs Jr. and Juanita Ayres; step-mother, Patricia Taylor; 12 grandchildren, Danyelle, Charlie and Brandon Roark, Joseph Cameron Dean, Keri Elizabeth Kemp, Destany Downs, Olivia Fontenot, Matthew and Zachary Downs, Samantha Rocheal Ingles, Whitney Denise Ingles and James Christopher Charles Ingles; two great-grandchildren, Karlyn Roark and Diyamond Henry; stepgrandchildren, Dawnyee and Tanna Ayres; brothers, Wayne, Sam and Roy Taylor; and sister, Joan Miller.

Funeral services for Mr. Lee Roy Edwards Sr., 85, of West Monroe, were at 1 p.m. Saturday, Dec. 27, 2008, at Mulhearn Funeral Home of West Monroe, with Rev. Jon Tellifero officiating. Interment was at Nolley United Methodist Church Cemetery in Jena, with a brief service at 3 p.m. in the fellowship hall.
Survivors include his wife of 61 years, Doris Drewett Edwards; daughter, Elaine Edwards Painich and husband, Willie; son, Lee Roy Edwards Jr. and wife, Flo; grandsons, Daren Edward Moody and wife, Breean Fleming Moody, and Benjamin Drewett Edwards; granddaughter, Emily Dalton Edwards; great-grandchildren, Jack Edward Moody and Mae Marie Moody; and a host of nieces and nephews.

Mr. Sammie Lee Freeman, 79, of West Monroe, passed away Dec. 28, 2008, in West Monroe.

He was preceded in death by his father, Paul D. Freeman; mother, Gracie Mae Ivey Freeman; and sister, Matilda Ann Diffey.
Survivors include his loving wife of 18 years, Wanda Sue Freeman; daughters, Debra Wilson of Chesapeake, Va., Risa Martinez of Altamonte Springs, Fla.; son, Gary Freeman and wife, Paige, of Lehigh Acres, Fla.; stepchildren, Karla Smith and Ann Brown of Roswell, Ga., Kamile Geist and husband, Gene of Athens, Ohio; sisters; Laverne "Toots" Wright of Villa Grove Ill., Pauline Matinna of Page, Ariz. and Betty Salley of Alexandria; brothers; Clarence D. Mrs. Doris Ann Hamlett, 83, of Monroe, passed away Monday, Dec. 29, 2008, at Glenwood Regional Medical Center in West Monroe.
Memorial services were at 1:15 p.m. Wednesday, Dec. 31, at Mulhearn Funeral Home, Sterlington Road, Monroe, with Rev. Joe Reynolds officiating.
Survivors include her daughter, Sheryl "Sherry" Gibson and husband, Ted, of Chatham; son, William M. Fuller and wife, Brenda, of Marshfield, Mo.; grandchildren, Matthew and Megan Gibson, Christopher M. Gibson, Luke Fuller and Kacee Fuller; and former husband and father of her children, William M. Fuller.

William L. Hedge, 71, of West Monroe, passed away Monday, Dec. 29, 2008, in West Monroe.
Her funeral was at 2 p.m. Wednesday, Dec. 31, at Kilpatrick Funeral Home of West Monroe, with Bro. Cecil E. Herrington officiating. Interment was in Kilpatrick Serenity Gardens in West Monroe.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Dewey and Lily Hedge; sister, Virginia Jones; and brother, J.T. Hedge.
Survivors include his wife of 49 years, Dorothy Dot Hedge; daughters, Debra Hite and husband, Terry, Crystal Brasher and husband, Jerry; son, Mark Hedge; grandchildren, Amanda Wheelis and husband, Patrick, Teri Ann Herrington and husband, David, Morgan and Alex Brasher, Colby and Nancy Hedge; great-grandchildren, Blake, Christian and Anna Kay Wheelis and Austin Herrington; sister, Rose Kennedy; two nieces; and two nephews.

Alvena Jean Johnson, 71, of Monroe, passed away on Thursday, Dec. 25, 2008, in her residence.
Memorial services were at 11 a.m. Tuesday, Dec. 30, at Grace Episcopal Church with Rev. Gregg Riley officiating. Arrangements were by Mulhearn Funeral Home, Sterlington Road, Monroe.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Dr. J.W. Johnson and her son, Glen Johnson.
Survivors include her daughter, Rhonda Ojeda and husband, Steve, of West Monroe; son, David Johnson and wife, Cynthia, of Stonewall; seven grandchildren; and sister, Arville Jungman and husband, Emil, of Phoenix, Ariz.

Mr. Ralph E. Magouirk, 77, of West Monroe, died Monday, Dec. 22, 2008, in his residence.

He was preceded in death by his son, Lonnie Magouirk.
Survivors include his wife of 58 years, Alice Wright Magouirk; sons, Larry Magouirk, Chris Magouirk and wife, Kris, Kelly Magouirk and John Patrick Magouirk; seven grandchildren, Amy, Lance, Jared, Hayley, Preston, Lee and Devin; sisters, Dorothy Rodgers and husband, Joe, Peggy Wimberley and husband, Sonny; brothers, Charles Magouirk and wife, Marty, and Jimmy Magouirk and wife, Linda; and several nieces and nephews.

Dr. Gloria Jeanne Rogillio, 66, of Kilgore, Texas, and formerly of Monroe, passed away Saturday, Dec. 20, 2008, at Good Shepherd Medical Center in Longview, Texas.
Graveside services were at 3 p.m. Saturday, Dec. 27, at Riverview Cemetery. Rev. Jack Albritton officiated. Arrangements were by Mulhearn Funeral Home, Sterlington Road, Monroe.

Mr. Donald McDonald Smith, 76, of West Monroe, passed away on Thursday, Dec. 25, 2008.
His funeral was at 3 p.m. Saturday, Dec. 27, at Mulhearn Funeral Home of West Monroe with Rev. Gordon "Skip" Dean officiating. Interment was in Roselawn Memorial Garden Cemetery in Calhoun.
He was preceded in death by his mother, Maxine McDonald Dufilho; and great aunts, Louise and Alice Schroeder.
Survivors include his wife, Elizabeth Struben Smith; sons, Donald M. Smith Jr. and wife, Tammy, of Smyrna, Tenn., Stephen C. Smith, and Peter S. Thomas Earl (Tommy) Wink, 71, of West Monroe, passed away Monday, Dec. 22, 2008, at his residence in West Monroe.
His funeral was at 2 p.m. Friday, Dec. 26, at Ouachita Baptist Church in West Monroe, with Rev. Milton Pray and Randy Wilbanks officiating. Burial was in Lapine Methodist Cemetery under the direction of Mulhearn Funeral Home of West Monroe.
Survivors include his children and their spouses, Danny and Rebecca Wink, Sheila and Robert Williams, Tammy and Donald Mims, Marvin and Shelly Wink, and their mother, Vivian Bennett; 10 grandchildren, Dana and Dr. Seth Bilello, Daniel and Montez Wink, Joshua Wink, Christy and Amber Williams, Christopher Mims, Chaz, Natalie, Marly and Thomas Wink; and great-granddaughter, Cadence Wink. He will be greatly missed by his best friend and loving companion of 19 years, Dedria Jones and her family, Kimberly and Thomas Chevallier, Sterling MaGee, Ethan Chevallier and Richard Womack.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Parker and Ethel Schanks Wink; and by Dedria's parents who he considered his in-laws, E.L. and Ollie Womack
