Temple to present tribute concert

Temple B'nai Israel will present a concert "A Tribute to Jewish American Composers" at 7 p.m. Saturday, Jan. 24, 2009, at Temple B'nai Israel , 2400 Orell Place.

Featured artists include Rod Allen Payne, piano and vocalist; Lisa McCalmon, vocalist; Lawrence Gibbs, clarinet and saxophone; Hallie Yarbrough, violin; and other artists. Rod Allen Payne will present a special arrangement in remembrance of Billy Ledbetter.

Tickets are $20 each and proceeds benefit the historic Jewish cemetery in Monroe.
