ULM professor named teacher of year
Michael Beutner, associate professor of instructional technology at ULM, has been selected as the 2008 Louisiana Post Secondary Teacher of the Year for his efforts to guide, broaden and enhance educational technology practice in schools.
Beutner, also the director of the ULM Teaching and Learning Resource Center, was granted this honor by the Louisiana Association of Computer Using Educators at their recent 24th Annual Conference.
Beutner also coordinates the Louisiana High School Technology Challenge, an annual statewide technology competition. It is expected that well over 1,000 high school students will participate in next year's third online competition. |
