Malinda Patton Cromwell Barton
Mrs. Malinda Patton Cromwell Barton, 46, of West Monroe, passed away Tuesday, Nov. 18, 2008, at St. Francis Medical Center in Monroe.
Her funeral was at 10 a.m. Saturday, Nov. 22, at Mulhearn Funeral Home of West Monroe with Rev. Johnnie Brooks officiating. Interment was at Bosco Cemetery. Visitation was Friday evening.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Ellis and Barbara Patton; and husband, Craig Barton.
Survivors include her children, Michael Cromwell and wife, Crystal, John Cromwell and wife, KK, Thomas Cromwell and Ashley Brown; step-children, Craig Barton and wife, Leslie and Michael Jeremy Barton; grandchildren, Mikayla, Gage and Shelby Cromwell, Megan, Molly, Chloe and Michael Cain Barton, Cason and Gavin Cromwell, Avery Evans and Zander and Alex Goodwin; her life-time love, Mike Cromwell; sister, Susie Sellers; brothers, Ralph, Dennis and Donny Patton; and special aunt, Betty French.
Pallbearers were Bobby English, Derek Minto, Jason Cheramie, Lavelle Lowery, Jeremy Mayes and Jeremy Foster.

William Earl Brinson
Mr. William Earl Brinson, 68, of West Monroe, passed away Sunday, Nov. 16, 2008, at Glenwood Regional Medical Center in West Monroe.
His funeral was at 10 a.m. Wednesday, Nov. 19, at Mulhearn Memorial Park Mausoleum with Rev. Warren Eckhardt officiating. Interment followed under the direction of Mulhearn Funeral Home, Sterlington Road, Monroe. Visitation was immediately before the service.
Survivors include his son, Brian Keith Brinson; brother, George Brinson and wife, Nita; and numerous nieces and nephews.

Lavon Burford
Mrs. Lavon Burford, 73, of Rocky Branch, went to be with the Lord on Thursday, Nov. 20, 2008.
Her funeral was at 2 p.m. Saturday, Nov. 22, at Rocky Branch Baptist Church with Dr. Pete Bradfield officiating. Interment was in Rocky Branch Cemetery under the direction of Kilpatrick Funeral Home of West Monroe. Visitation was Friday evening at the church.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Gary K. Burford; parents, Daniel and Annie Honeycutt; sisters, Muriel Stringfellow, Claudie Ultzsch and Virgie Daigle; and sister-in-law, Juanita Taylor.
Survivors include her dearest friend, Bobby Ouchley; daughter, Janice Gates and husband, Aubrey; sons, Dale Burford and wife, Dianne, Keith Burford and wife, Allyson; grandchildren, Janelle Snellings, Chad Burford, Travis and Josh Gates, Dylan, Amanda and Kaylee Burford; five great-grandchildren; and sisters, Opal Newman and husband, Bob, Edna Cook and Vonceil Bryan.

Emma Claire Cathey
Funeral services for Emma Claire Cathey, who graced this earth for only two short months, were at 2 p.m. Thursday, Nov. 20, at Mulhearn Funeral Home, Sterlington Road, Monroe. Rev. Lindle Stewart officiated. Interment was at Mulhearn Memorial Park Cemetery. Visitation was Wednesday evening.
Survivors include her mother, Jessica Cathey; grandparents, Mike and Ellie Loflin, and Mark and Kelly Cathey; great-grandparents, Glenda and David Powell, Joe and Kathy Young and Sandra and Buddy Lewis; two aunts, Christina Casey and husband, Brandon, and Robin Allison and husband, Brad; and uncle, William Loflin and wife, Krystal.
Pallbearers were Brandon Casey, William Loflin, Chad Prather, and Bruce Stroud. Honorary pallbearers were Christopher Young and Ronnie Watkins.

Patsy Greer Daniels
Funeral services for Patsy "Pat" Greer Daniels, 79, of West Monroe, were at 10 a.m. Wednesday, Nov. 19, 2008, in Hasley Memorial Pavilion with Revs. C. Ray Owens Jr. and Bill Foster officiating. Interment followed under the direction of Mulhearn Funeral Home of West Monroe. Visitation was Tuesday evening.
Survivors include her son, Rev. Bob Daniels and wife, Melinda, of Franklin, Ohio; and numerous cousins.
Pallbearers were Robert Charles Payne, Andrew Beck Payne, Jerry Miller, Billy Wilhite, Jimmy Greer and Curtis Rape.

Syble Rodgers Easterling
Syble Rodgers Easterling, 88, passed away Friday, Nov. 14, 2008, at Landmark Nursing Home in West Monroe.
Her funeral was at 10 a.m. Monday, Nov. 17, at Mulhearn Funeral Home of West Monroe with Jamie Wilhite officiating. A graveside service was held at 3:30 p.m. at Good Hope Cemetery in Good Hope, Miss., with Rev. Brad Moak officiating. Visitation was Sunday evening.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Henry L. Easterling; son, Jerry R. Easterling; son-in-law, Leon Billings; two sisters; and four brothers.
Survivors include her sons, Charles Easterling and wife, Nita, of Alexandria, Mack Easterling of West Monroe, Mickey Easterling and wife, Ann, of West Monroe, and Gary Easterling and wife Becky of Brandon, Miss.; daughters, Liz Billings of West Monroe, Henrietta Futch and husband, Gary, of Monroe, and Debbie Kimbro and husband, Bob, of Gretna; 11 grandchildren; 16 great-grandchildren; one great-great-grandchild; sisters, Judy Bennett of West Monroe, and Chloe Mann of Salem, Ore.; sisters-in-law, Darine Rogers of West Monroe, and Jo Howard of Lena, Miss.; and numerous nieces and nephews.
Pallbearers were her grandsons, Michael Billings, Keith Billings, Greg Futch, Kevin Futch, Ricky Easterling, Wade Kimbro and Drew Kimbro

Funeral Services for Mr. George W. Golemon, 91, of West Monroe, were at 2 p.m. Monday, Nov. 17, 2008, at Mulhearn Funeral Home of West Monroe, with Rev. Jimmy Sims officiating. Burial was at Twin Cities Memorial Garden Cemetery. Visitation was Sunday evening.

Jackie R. Haye
Mr. Jackie R. Haye, 74, of Monroe, passed away Wednesday, Nov. 19, 2008, in Monroe.
Her funeral was at 11 a.m. Saturday, Nov. 22, at Kilpatrick Funeral Home of West Monroe with Rev. Bill McCullin officiating. Interment was in Rocky Branch Cemetery in Rocky Branch. Visitation was Friday evening.
Survivors include his wife, Carolyn Haye; daughters, Teressa Haye of Orlando, Fla., and Tina Houston and husband, Ken, of Monroe; son, Jack Haye and wife, Carol, of Dallas, Texas; 10 grandchildren, Vicki Bagshaw and husband, Wayne, Ryan Houston, Grayson Haye, Austin Haye and wife, Savannah, Caleb Haye, McCall Haye, Summer Haye, Sutton Haye, Nicholas Haye and Summer Houston; one great-grandson, Joshua Stephenson; brother, Tommy Haye of West Monroe; and a host of friends and loved ones.

Mrs. Carolyn Edwina Howard, 85, of Monroe, passed away Wednesday, Nov. 12, 2008, in Monroe.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Joe Howard; siblings, Sybil Johnson, Myrtis "Sister" Reese, and J. C. Tillman.
Survivors include her daughter, Theresa Wilkinson; sister, Beth Ellerbe; special niece and nephew, Claudia Banks and Dr. Michael Boykin; and numerous nieces and nephews.

Eloise Hutcherson Jones
Mrs. Eloise Hutcherson Jones, 87, of West Monroe, passed away Tuesday, Nov. 18, 2008, at Landmark Nursing Center in West Monroe.
Graveside services were at 2 p.m. Friday, Nov. 21, at Hasley Cemetery with Rev. Mark Fenn officiating. Arrangements were handled by Mulhearn Funeral Home of West Monroe. Visitation was Thursday evening.
She was preceded in death by her husband of 38 years, Riley Jones; her parents; four brothers; and four sisters.
Survivors include her children, Pat Avant and husband, George, of West Monroe, and Steve Jones and wife, Frances, of Calhoun; five grandchildren, Angie Pardue of West Monroe, Kay Traina of North Richland Hills, Texas, Eddie Avant of West Monroe, Tracey Cassels of Monroe, and Matt Jones of Baton Rouge; 10 great grandchildren; and numerous nieces and nephews.

Funeral services for Jimmy Ray May, 71, of West Monroe, were at 2 p.m. Tuesday, Nov. 18, at Mulhearn Funeral Home of West Monroe, with Rev. Billy Taylor officiating. Interment was in Roselawn Memorial Gardens Cemetery in Calhoun. Visitation was Monday evening.
Survivors include his wife, Shirley May; son, Jimmy D. May and wife, Bethany; daughter, Brenda Jackson and husband, Todd; grandchildren, Danielle Stevenson and husband, Markus, Jeffery May and wife, Caitlin, and T.J. Jackson; great-grandchildren, Breanna and Briley Stevenson; sisters, Jo Ann Wyles, Geraldine Causey and husband, John, and Nellie Kirkham and husband, James; sister-in-law, Joyce Adams and husband, Robert; brothers-in-law, Richard McDonald and wife, Sharon, and Charles McDonald and wife, Peggy; numerous nieces, nephews and friends; and sidekick, Tinker.

Dorothy Shipp Ramsey
Mrs. Dorothy Shipp Ramsey, 81, of Monroe, passed away Wednesday, Nov. 19, 2008, in Monroe.
Her funeral was at 11 a.m. Saturday, Nov. 22, at Parkview Baptist Church of Monroe with Dr. E. Whit Holmes and Rev. Terry Barnes officiating. Interment was at Monroe Memorial Park under the direction of Kilpatrick Funeral Home of Monroe. Visitation was Friday evening at the funeral home.
She was preceded in death by her husband of 56 years, Marvin O. Ramsey Sr.; her parents, James Allen and Mattie Owens Shipp; brothers, James Marvin and Garland Allen Shipp; and sister, Vivian Shipp Long.
Survivors include her children, Marvin Owen Jr. and wife, Rhonda, Rebecca Ramsey Fleming and husband, Robert, and Sue Ramsey Rainer and husband, Bob; grandchildren, Scott Rainer and wife, Casey, Sam Rainer, Rob Fleming and wife, Angela, Mollie Fleming and David Ramsey and wife, Brittany; and four great-grandchildren, Ramsey Kuhn, Audrey and Sarah Rainer, and Ashley Fleming.
Pallbearers were Scott Rainer, Sam Rainer, Rob Fleming, David Ramsey, Harvey Gregg, Wayne Shipp and Donald Lee Davidson.
