Gov. Bobby Jindal recently announced the appointments of three locals to state boards.

Foy Gadberry of West Monroe will serve on the Louisiana State Uniform Construction Code Council.

Gadberry is the owner of Inspections Unlimited, LLC.

The Louisiana State Uniform Construction Code Council serves to review and adopt the state uniform construction code, train and educate code officials and establish the requirements and process for certification of code enforcement officers, code enforcement inspectors and building officials. Additionally, the council accepts requests for amendments to the code, and will determine if any amendments are justified.

Terry Baugh of West Monroe and Janet Durden of Monroe will serve on the Louisiana Workforce Investment Council.

Durden is the president of the United Way of Northeast Louisiana and serves on the National Council of United Way Workforce Development Taskforce.

The Louisiana Workforce Investment Council serves to develop a strategic plan to coordinate and integrate a workforce development delivery system to assure efficiency and cooperation between public and private entities by advising the governor on the needs of Louisiana's employers and its workforce.
