Envision ULM 2008 will be held Thursday, Nov. 13, at the Monroe Civic Center.

The Honorable Jay McCallum ('82), a 3rd Judicial District Court judge, will emcee Envision, which is meant to spotlight Excellence in Action at the University of Louisiana-Monroe and the university's community relationships.

The evening begins with a cocktail reception at 6 p.m., followed by McCallum's opening remarks at 6:30 p.m. The ULM Chamber Singers will perform the ULM Alma Mater and "The Battle Hymn of the Republic."

Dinner will be held and the ULM Jazz Ensemble will perform during the meal. The Envision program will start at 7:15 p.m. with a video presentation and public appreciation of university members and community supporters.

The audience will hear from Vice President for University Advancement and External Affairs Don Skelton as he presents the 2008 Hall of Distinction Award to CenturyTel.

A faculty video and a student/alumni video will follow, focusing on the phenomenal successes happening at ULM, which in turn produce great things on a community and world level.

ULM President James Cofer will discuss what it means to be a university; highlighting faculty, staff and student achievements.

Tickets are $30 per person or $240 per table of eight.
